## Article 6: General Manager and Artistic Director(s)

### 6.1. General Manager Selection and Duties

The Board of Directors may employ a General Manager who shall serve as chief operating officer and general manager of the Corporation. The General Manager shall execute the duties of the office as outlined in the position description and shall act as the liaison between the staff (except the Artistic Director(s)), volunteers, and the Board of Directors.

### 6.2. General Manager as Advisor to the Board

The General Manager will serve as an advisor to the Board and attend all Board meetings as an ex-officio member. The General Manager will not vote on any issues.

### 6.3. General Manager Authority

The General Manager will have full authority in regard to staff and volunteers (except the Artistic Director), and will be responsible to use that authority in compliance with Board Policies.

### 6.4. Artistic Director(s) Selection and Duties

The Board of Directors may employ one or more Artistic Directors who shall serve as the conductors and artistic directors of the chorus and shall answer directly to the Board of Directors. The Artistic Director(s) shall execute the duties of the office as outlined in the position description.

### 6.5. Artistic Director(s) as Advisor(s) to the Board

The Artistic Director(s) will serve as an advisor(s) to the Board and attend all Board meetings as an ex-officio member(s). The Artistic Director(s) will not vote on any issues.
